The Best People To Service Your Harley® Are Those That Built It
Did you know that in order to uphold manufacturers warranty, your Harley-Davidson® is now required to be serviced annually as it is no longer mileage based?
No need to worry however - we take on that headache so you don't have to!
All the staff at the H-D® Birmingham Service Department have received training from the Harley-Davidson® University to ensure that they have industry training before taking on your motorcycle. There are exams in place which also need to be passed and even after all the training has been provided, all our staff continue to receive up-to-date training yearly in order to remain qualified to take care of your motorcycle.
With us, you'll get a service that is beyond the simple oil change that some manufacturer's offer. Our service advisor will discuss all of your service requirements, upgrades, warranty and recall work that is required along with service bookings to suit you.

All our staff are factory trained. Underneath that authentic Harley Davidson exterior lies some serious technology.
Harley-Davidson® remains one of the oldest Motorcycle companies in the world who continue to create a legacy of motorcycles and even 110+ years on, they are still built to the highest standards without losing its iconic character. We minimise external changes where necessary so that older models do not lose value over time in depreciation, however do not be fooled by appearances, we do not compromise on quality.
For example, many of our bikes now have the Keyless go feature which the latest more expensive cars are normally equipped with. This means that your bike will be ready for you as soon as you're within 8 feet of it, as at this distance, your key fob and the motorcycle computer will have recognised each other and on doing so, will have deactivated the movement alarm as well as the immobiliser allowing you to literally flick the switch on and go.
Nearly all of our bikes also have the Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS) but which is effectively hidden, allowing you to continue to enjoy the iconic beauty of an authentic Harley-Davidson® motorbike but with the benefits of the latest technology. Not only this, but some of our bikes also have slipper clutches to ensure you don't lock your back wheels when going down too many gears – this is technology straight off the race tracks!
Most of our bikes also have four computers integrated within them, as well as CAN Bus (Controller Area Networking) wiring allowing more efficient communication between the computers and with all of this cutting edge technology, we are confident that all our riders will enjoy their riding experience much more without having to compromise on the character and authenticity of riding a genuine Harley-Davidson® motorcycle.
However, these advances in technology also require staff that are just as advanced in their knowledge, and with their continuous training we can assure you that when it comes to your motorcycle health check, you will receive a thorough and detailed check in order to give you the accurate consultation you need.
By continually investing into training to keep skills updated, we ensure that your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle is in the best hands throughout it's lifetime.
They say that “you get what you pay for”, so while you may receive a cheaper rate at an aftermarket service shop, they will not be equipped with the same up to date skills that Harley-Davidson® employees are required to have, which will save you more time and money in the long run.
We have direct access to the Harley-Davidson® Motor Company engineers and the factory back in the US.
No need to spend hours searching for answers on google or asking around for someone who may be aware of an issue – just bring it to us and let us solve it for you. We acquire knowledge continuously so you don't have to!
With our direct access to Harley-Davidson®, we are able to share any faults within our global network. By inputting any new faults that are being seen in workshops within this network, it allows us to receive direct support from the engineers that designed and built everything, so you can bet we'll already be aware of an issue before you come to us.
Your motorcycle will automatically be checked for any improvements or safety recalls on your bike from the Motor Company.
While Harley-Davidson continue to maintain the heritage of such an iconic brand, we work on the evolution of our motorbikes underneath the skin so that you're not getting left behind. Occasionally this can mean that even after time has been invested into the development of certain parts, they may not work as we expect them to and therefore require further refinement. This doesn't mean that there is something wrong with your bike, just that we are able to improve your motorcycle in order to make it more efficient and reliable.
For example, if a batch of defective components manage to slip through our quality control, the Motor Company will issue a global recall of the motorcycles with the flaw. You will then receive a notification from Harley-Davidson® with details to contact us in order to schedule an appointment to bring your motorbike in so we can examine and change the faulty part free of charge.
Our priority is taking care of you and your motorcycle. Even when its in for an oil change, we will still give your bike a once over to ensure that it is still safe to ride so you can continue to enjoy your Harley®.
Every Harley-Davidson® is made by hand so when you come to us, you get what you pay for - a genuine Harley-Davidson® service from technicians that know your motorcycle inside out. We will not only check the essentials, we'll also give your motorcycle a once over to make sure all other components are in working order as well just for your peace of mind... We're all about keeping you happy!
Your old motorcycle will be worth a lot more when you trade it in to us.
With our service, you will receive an official Bar and Shield stamp in your service book protecting the resale value of your bike, so in the future when you want to upgrade your motorbike, you will get much more if you bring it back to us. Now that's what we call taking care of our customers!
We only use the latest computer based diagnostic tools to save you both time and money.
Diagnosing a fault quickly and efficiently ensures that the cost to you remains minimal. This can only be done if the technicians are aware of where to start when problems arise. If for example an technician was to start working on a V-Rod, just by reaching under the speedometer and pressing the button at the bottom would bring up all the fault codes on the LCD display, allowing them to start working right away on fixing the problem.
When your bike comes for its regular maintenance check, the Harley-Davidson® Technician 2 computer will more than likely be used which is our most recent specialist tool. We plug it straight in to your bike which will then allow us to access the data from all of the onboard sensors, current and historic fault codes and the opportunity to change your motorbike settings.

A speedy diagnosis will save you money when it comes to paying the bill, as well as time.
